PVC Vanity Cabinet — The Cabinet That Doesn't Care How Wet the Room Gets

Most bathroom cabinet failures are not structural. They start with water: a leak under the basin, a floor washed too generously, a wet-room layout with no enclosure, steam that never fully clears. Timber-based cabinetry reacts to that moisture by swelling at the cut edges and around the fixings, and once the board has taken water the door line and the drawer action rarely come back. A PVC vanity cabinet is specified to remove that failure mode entirely. The body does not absorb water, so it does not swell, does not delaminate, and does not depend on a sealed edge to stay intact in a humid room.

YingJie Bath (YingJie) produces PVC vanity cabinets across floating, wall-hung and floor-standing formats, supplied as cabinet-only units or as complete sets with an integrated or vessel basin and a matching mirror. The range is finished in matte white, off-white, wood-grain, dark grey marble-look and other project colourways. We have produced bathroom products in China since 2010 from a 60,000㎡ facility with 200+ workers and a monthly capacity of 40,000 units, exporting to 50+ countries for hotel, apartment and residential projects. OEM and ODM are accepted.

ISO9001 covers our factory quality management system across every product line, and CE applies to the PVC vanity range. CUPC, Watermark and SASO apply to ceramic sanitary ware rather than to the cabinet body — where a set includes a ceramic basin, the applicable certification is confirmed per product against the destination market. Tell us your market and we will confirm exactly which certification your order will carry.

Standard MOQ is 50 pieces per model and production lead time is 25–35 days. Send the room's dimensions, the wall construction and whether the unit is cabinet-only or a full set, and we will confirm the configuration and the mounting that suit the room.

Why Specify a PVC Vanity Cabinet

Water Is Not a Failure Mode

The body does not absorb moisture, so it does not swell at cut edges or around fixings. That removes the single most common cause of bathroom cabinet deterioration, whatever the room's humidity does.

Lighter Than a Timber-Based Unit

Lower unit weight makes wall-hung PVC units easier to handle and to fix, and reduces what the wall has to carry — a practical advantage on multi-unit projects with repeated installations.

Wet Rooms, Without Special Detail

Specified where the unit sits inside a genuinely wet environment — wet-room layouts, poolside and leisure bathrooms, and unenclosed shower areas where timber-based boards are the wrong choice.

Project Economics at Volume

A simpler body construction at a comparable finished appearance, which is why PVC is usually specified where a project needs the same bathroom repeated across many rooms at a controlled unit cost.

What Is a PVC Vanity Cabinet?

A PVC vanity cabinet is a bathroom cabinet whose body is constructed from PVC rather than from timber-based board. The difference is not cosmetic: a timber-based board takes on water through its cut edges and around fixings, swells, and then changes the alignment of doors and drawers. A PVC body does not absorb water, so that sequence cannot start — which is why the construction is specified in rooms where moisture is continuous rather than occasional.

Three consequences follow in practice. Humidity tolerance: the cabinet can sit in a wet-room or an unenclosed shower area where a timber-based unit would be the wrong specification. Lower unit weight: which matters both for handling on site and for fixing a wall-hung unit. Simple cleaning: a non-absorbent surface does not hold marks the way a moisture-affected board does.

PVC vanity units are normally procured for a whole project rather than a single room, so they are usually ordered together with the project's toilets, faucets and mirrors, and can be consolidated with other categories in one order.

PVC Vanity Configurations We Supply

  • Floating PVC vanity cabinet — wall-mounted with the cabinet clear of the floor, usually with one wide drawer or two doors; the format most often repeated across hotel and apartment bathrooms.
  • Wall-hung PVC vanity with integrated basin — cabinet and basin supplied as one assembled set, so the tap holes and the basin position are aligned before delivery.
  • Floating PVC vanity with vessel basin — counter with a vessel basin and a matching LED mirror, for projects that want the basin as a visible feature.
  • Floor-standing PVC vanity cabinet — standing unit for rooms where the wall construction cannot take a wall-hung load, or where the layout suits a floor line.
  • PVC vanity set with mirror — cabinet, basin and mirror specified together in a matched finish, including fluted-front and round-halo mirror combinations.

Body colour and finish, cabinet width, drawer and door configuration, basin type and mirror matching are confirmed per model; the range spans twelve configurations across these groups.

How to Specify a PVC Vanity Cabinet

  1. Confirm how wet the room actually is. An enclosed bathroom and a wet room with no enclosure are different specifications; the answer decides whether the cabinet body has to be PVC rather than timber-based.
  2. Decide wall-hung or floor-standing. A wall-hung unit depends on the wall construction and requires backing for its fixings; where the wall cannot provide that, a floor-standing unit is the simpler answer.
  3. Confirm the cabinet width against the room. Width, tap-hole position and the mirror format are set out together, because the mirror and the basin have to line up with the cabinet, not with each other.
  4. Confirm the basin type. An integrated basin arrives with the cabinet as one set; a vessel basin requires the counter and the tap-hole position to be confirmed together.
  5. Confirm the furniture and the hardware for the project. Handle style, drawer runners and the colourway should be fixed at specification stage so repeat rooms match.
  6. Fix the destination market at specification stage so the certification requirement is confirmed before production. The cabinet body is not covered by sanitary ware certification; where a set includes a ceramic basin, that component's certification is confirmed per product.

Advantages of PVC Vanity Cabinets

  • Immune to the common failure mode — no moisture absorption means no swelling at cut edges and no fixings working loose in a damp body.
  • Suitable for genuinely wet rooms — not limited to enclosed bathrooms, because the body does not depend on staying dry.
  • Lighter unit weight — easier to handle and fix, and less load on the wall for wall-hung units, which matters when the same installation repeats across hundreds of rooms.
  • Simple surface care — a non-absorbent finished surface is straightforward to clean and does not hold marks the way a moisture-affected board does.
  • Consistent across repeat rooms — the specification holds its appearance as a project is completed room by room, which is what a hotel or apartment fit-out depends on.
  • Supplied as a complete set — cabinet, basin and matching mirror can be ordered together, in the same finish, on one lead time.

Applications

  • Hotel and serviced-apartment bathrooms — the same unit repeated across many rooms, where the specification has to hold its appearance as the project completes.
  • Wet-room and unenclosed shower bathrooms — where the cabinet sits inside a genuinely wet environment and a timber-based body would be the wrong choice.
  • Residential and apartment developments — repetitive bathroom fit-outs procured at a controlled unit cost.
  • Leisure, poolside and wellness facilities — continuous humidity with heavy cleaning regimes.
  • Rental and student accommodation — high-turnover rooms where a body that does not absorb moisture survives the tenancy cycle better.

Materials & Manufacturing

The cabinet body is produced in PVC, which is why the specification behaves differently from timber-based cabinetry: the material does not absorb water, so the swelling, delamination and fixing movement that follow moisture in a board body do not occur. That is the property the construction is bought for, and it is the reason PVC is specified in rooms where humidity is continuous rather than occasional.

Door and drawer fronts are finished in the project's colourway, including matte white, off-white, wood-grain and marble-look finishes, and the fronts can be plain, fluted or reeded depending on the design intent. Basin, counter, mirror and hardware are brought together as a set where the room is specified as a whole.

Body thickness, front construction, runner type and hardware are confirmed per model. Before loading, every order is inspected against one factory acceptance standard — appearance, surface integrity and dimensional accuracy — and the record travels with the shipping documents.

FAQ

Q: When should a PVC vanity cabinet be specified instead of a timber-based one?

A: When moisture in the room is continuous rather than occasional — wet-room layouts, unenclosed shower areas, poolside and leisure bathrooms, or any bathroom where a leak or a flooded floor is a realistic event. A PVC body does not absorb water, so the swelling and delamination that follow moisture in a board body cannot start.

Q: Can a PVC cabinet be wall hung?

A: Yes — floating and wall-hung formats are part of the range, and the lower unit weight of a PVC body makes a wall-hung unit easier to handle and fix. The wall construction still has to provide suitable backing for the fixings; where it cannot, a floor-standing unit is the simpler specification.

Q: Does a PVC body look different from a timber-based cabinet?

A: The visible difference is in the finish programme rather than the construction. The range is supplied in matte white, off-white, wood-grain, marble-look and other project colourways, with plain, fluted or reeded fronts, so the design intent can be met without the body being the constraint.

Q: Can the cabinet be supplied with a basin and mirror as a set?

A: Yes. Integrated-basin and vessel-basin sets are available with a matching mirror, including fluted-front and round LED mirror combinations. Specifying the cabinet, basin and mirror together is how the tap-hole position and the mirror line-up are settled before production rather than on site.

Q: Which certifications apply to PVC vanity cabinets?

A: ISO9001 covers our factory quality management system across every product line, and CE applies to the PVC vanity range. CUPC, Watermark and SASO apply to ceramic sanitary ware rather than to the cabinet body; where a set includes a ceramic basin, the applicable certification is confirmed per product against the destination market. Name the market with the enquiry and the certification list is confirmed in writing.

Q: What is the MOQ and lead time?

A: 50 pieces per model is the standard minimum, and production takes 25–35 days. Where an order covers several models or includes matching mirrors, production is scheduled in parallel and the order's lead time is the longest single line rather than the sum. Larger quantities are to be negotiated.

Q: Do you support OEM and ODM, including custom colourways?

A: Yes. We accept OEM and ODM work, covering custom cabinet dimensions, colourways, front profiles, basin and mirror matching, hardware selection, branding and packaging. Check the feasibility of a particular colourway or front profile with our sales team before the specification is finalized.

Q: Can later stages of a project match units already installed?

A: Yes. Repeated-room projects are normal, so later orders can repeat the earlier models, colourways and hardware so the units installed later match the ones already in place. Keeping the specification with one supplier is what makes that reliable.
