Vitreous china is ceramic fired at a temperature high enough that the glaze bonds into the body itself - it's not a coating sitting on top. The result is a single glass-like material that absorbs less than 0.5% water (ISO 10545-3 verified). Standard ceramic typically absorbs 2–8%, meaning it slowly soaks in soap residue, hard water minerals, and bacteria. Over years, that absorption causes micro-crazing, dulling, and permanent stains. Vitreous china simply doesn't do that. It's the material choice for hospitals, luxury hotels, and high-end residential for exactly this reason.

Industry-standard cabinet basins typically run 450–480 mm deep. Lead time is 20–30 working days after deposit regardless of the mix.

Not at all. The single-hole deck is pre-drilled as standard and works with any single-handle countertop faucet. If your project specifies a wall-mounted faucet instead, simply cap the deck hole with a ceramic plug during installation - the basin body doesn't structurally depend on it.
